CURRENT MEMBERS

Mr Mahboob ALAM is a final/fourth year PhD student at Tallinn University of Technology, co-supervised with Prof Nadezda Kongi. His focus is on electrochemistry of the newly developed materials.

Mr Akmal KOSIMOV is a third year PhD student at the University of Tartu, co-supervised with Prof Nadezda Kongi. Her focus is on electrochemistry of the newly developed materials.

ALUMNI

Degree Students

Dr Kefeng PING obtained his BSc in Chemistry from Wuhan Institute of Technology (China) and his masters in Chemistry and Toxicology from the NUI Galway (Galway). Upon finishing his PhD in Chemistry and Biotechnology from Tallinn University of Technology, he joined MGI Latvia (Latvia), a part of BGI Group. Within the group he worked on various projects in materials chemistry, catalysis and chemical biology.

Dr Rohit BHADORIA obtained his BSc in Chemistry from the University of Delhi (India), MSc in Chemistry from highly competitive IIT Gandhinagar and a ultimately a PhD from Tallinn University of Technology in 2020. After a short stint at TBD Biodiscovery, a successful Estonian biotech start-up, he joined University of Massachussets Amherst (USA ) Department of Biology as Research Fellow in Chemical Biology in 2021. Within the group he worked on various projects in chemical biology and materials chemistry.

Mr Christer LOHK obtained his BSc in Gene Technology at Tallinn university of Technology and was awarded a honourable diploma by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research. After this, he joined PSL University / University of Paris (France) for his masters degree and is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Bordeaux (France). Within the group, he worked on expansion microscopy project.

Exchange/Summer Students

Ms Johanna Marie LEY joined the group as an ERASMUS Exchange MSc student from Clausthal University of Technology (Germany) in 2020. She was involved on the chemical biology project.

Mr Sean Ray KAHNERT joined the group as an ERASMUS Exchange MSc student from Clausthal University of Technology (Germany) in 2020. He was involved on the materials chemistry project.
