PhD studentships will be advertised on this page, TalTech website and at least one international recruitment website (typically, Euraxess and FindAPhD) when they become available. I would aim to take on one-two PhD student each Fall. If you are interested in joining our group, please contact me directly via email. Prospective PhD students are encouraged to enquire about possible research projects at least one academic year ahead. In Estonia, there are no residency requirements for PhD admissions, and once secured PhD scholarships are very reasonable.

They will be advertised as they come, currently, with Fall 2021 as the initial date for the new recruitment.

If you wish to apply for Estonian incoming postdoctoral/returning scientist funding together with us or if you are interested in securing funding from your home country or an independent funding body then do not hesitate to get in touch with me via email. Please note the standards to compete for the Estonian incoming Post-Doc fellowships is as high as in the rest of the EU. Your PI will advise you on the best strategy. The PI may be able to assist you in obtaining suitable funding. When emailing, please do not forget to attach your up-to-date CV along with a covering letter explaining why you are interested in applied/organic chemistry research.

Each year we will have lab space for one-two research projects for the TalTech undergraduate or masters students. Further details of the available projects will be circulated in-house. Students about to begin their 1st/2nd Year of BSc or 1st Year of MSc year are welcome to come and see me in person to discuss potential research projects.

While we do not normally have funding available for summer/visiting projects, a number of scholarships (incl. Erasmus+, Dora+) can be made available. Anyone interested in applying for these awards is encouraged to get in touch early in the academic year. If you have already secured your funding for a summer/visiting project and are interested in coming to work with us, please get in touch at any time given.

The cornerstone of our research group is our group members. We aim to attract bright and motivated co-workers no matter what the background and give them every opportunity to thrive. We believe that inclusiveness and excellence walk hand in hand, and that diversity extends to identities beyond just race and gender.

Mass mailings will not be acknowledged.
